Custom Batting Cage Net with Sliding Curtains

We're building a real cool batting cage tunnel for a client in New Hampshire - NH Sportsplex

It's a multi-lane custom Aircage 2.0, which raises from the bottom-up to create a mostly hands-free operation. This batting cage operates on an electric winch motor, which pulls the bottom frame up to collapse the netting against the top frame installed 20 ft above. This creates a wide open area below, opening up the space for other activities - a true multi-sport facility.

The specs on this custom batting cage net are:

Qty: 1
#36 Nylon Shell Net: 75'L x 45'W x 20'H
  • with 4 ceiling baffles 75' x 18" installed 6" from each 15' point rib line
  • with 3 doors installed on the same end -- 1 in each corner, 1 in middle
  • sewn border around entire perimeter
  • 5 rib lines spaced evenly
Qty: 2
#36 Nylon Curtains: 80'L x 20'H

The interior curtains can be pushed to one end, and raise up with a bottom shelf we are building. The divider curtains are designed to create 3 individual lanes, or one giant open batting cage playing environment.

Here's an example of this style cage:

Batting Cage Net for Nike @ College World Series

This was a fun project. Nike hired us to design, build & install a custom batting cage system at their shop near the College World Series in Omaha, NE.

We install batting cages all around the country, so this was especially fun since it was in our own backyard in Omaha, at an epic event all of us at Practice Sports grew up attending - the CWS.

Nike purchased a building near the new downtown TD Ameritrade Stadium, to use exclusively for this event each year. Within this shop they offer the latest trends in baseball shoes & other gear.

In the back of the building, they had a narrow space they wanted a batting cage net installed within. It required some customization and innovation with our cage hardware, but like always we made it work!

Next time you're at the CWS, stop by the Nike Swing Lab to give our batting cage a try!

Contact us anytime to discuss customizing a batting cage net for your basement, garage, barn or sports facility.
